Common Inquiries

Is ZCET registered?

ZCET is a newly registered private college run by the North Western Development Foundation Limited. The college is currently processing affiliation with the Zambia Counselling Council for certificate and diploma programmes in counselling. It is also in the process of acquiring accreditation with the Higher Education Authority, and possible affiliation with Gideon Robert University, a prestigious private higher learning institution based in Lusaka, Lusaka Province, for education diploma courses.

Does ZCET offer TEVET programmes?

TEVET courses are expected to be introduced at the college on both full time and distance learning mode for the January 2025 Intake when registration process with relevant authorities is expected to be completed. Look out for updates on this matter. 

What are the application fees and deadlines?

Application forms may be obtained upon payment of K50 non-refundable fee. The deadline of application for the June/July 2024 Intake is Friday 28 June, 2024.

What are the payment options?

Payments may be made through e-wallet, bank transfer, bank deposit or non-post dated cheque as follows:

​

- 50% and above as first installment on or before first reporting for the term/semester.

​

- Outstanding balance to be cleared at least 30 days before closing date of the term/semester.

​

- Installments are not applicable on application fee and lodging/accommodation.

Who qualifies for the Student Support Scheme?

The institution has partnered with individuals and organisations to offer student support to deserving vulnerable candidates. These candidates are selected by a committee after careful evaluation of their vulnerability report. Deserving students may receive up to 100% scholarship for an academic term, semester, year, or for the full course.  

Does the institution facilitate attachments/internships for students?

Zambezi College of Education and Technology endeavours to be an effective link between the community and the industry by ensuring that our students are not only trained adequately, but also provided with opportunities for industrial experience, networking and enterprise. 

What are the entry requirements?

- Cerfiticate programmes: The minimum entry  requirements for Certificate Programmes under Zambia Counselling Council are a full Grade 9 (Junior Secondary) Certificate plus any three O' Levels.

- Diploma programmes: The minimum entry requirements for Diploma Programmes under Zambia Counselling Council are a full Grade 12 Certificate or Five O' Levels with Credits or better in English Language and any four other subjects.

​

- Diploma programmes: The minimum entry requirements for Diploma Programmes under the University of Edenberg are a full Grade 12 Certificate or Five O' Levels with Credits or better in English Language, Mathematics and Science, plus any two other subjects.

​

NOTE: Candidates with Four O' Level Credits may be given conditional admission to a few selected Diploma Programmes.
